Abstract

Water is a fixed asset that is unlimited and has a lot of use value. In every activity in the household also does not escape the use of water, such as bathing, W washing, watering plants and others. The average use of water in households in Indonesia for the lower middle class is 169.11-247.36 liters/person/day. This data also generates ideas for utilizing existing water flows in households into a renewable energy source. This study aims to implement a pico-hydro power plant in households so that it can become a backup electric power to turn on the lights. This study compares the blades used in a pico-hydro power plant, namely 2, 4, and 6 blades against the power produced. The results of this study after being averaged show that the power generated when using 2 blades is 10.49 Watt, 4 blades is 14.87 Watt, and 6 blades is 24.68 Watt.
