Abstract

ABSTRACT
Motorcycle vehicles in Indonesia have experienced an increase, according to
data from the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association (AISI) where the increase
in 2022 will reach 443,890 units, when compared to the previous year. Whereas cases
of theft (motor vehicle theft) according to data presented by the D.I.Yogyakarta
Regional Development Planning Agency (bappeda) from 2019-2022 have decreased,
from D.I.Yogyakarta police sources in 2019 there were 389 cases, and in 2022
motorcycle theft cases only reached 183 cases. (Bappeda, 2019). One of the solutions
to secure motorbikes from theft or theft is to apply FingerPrint technology/intelligent
security system. The fingerprint sensor is a tool for matching a person's fingerprint
pattern with the pattern stored in the sensor's memory. The way this tool works is
simple, just put your finger on the fingerprint sensor, the finger sensor will read the
fingerprint pattern of the user who has registered as a key access key to start the
vehicle. And with this system, not all motorbike users can turn on the motorbike unless
the person has identified their fingerprint pattern. In this way the security system will
be more double, the ignition key as the handlebar lock and the fingerprint as vehicle
access rights.
