Abstract
ABSTRACT
PT. Genesa Dirgantara, has 4 floors of a building with one Internet Service
Protocol (ISP) that is connected to a router on each floor which is interconnected
using a LAN. The problem with wi-fi networks in this environment is that routers
on wi-fi networks use different SSIDs, so users have to reconnect when switching
nodes. The Deco M5 router which has a GUI-based Wireless Mesh Network (WMN)
technology can be an alternative to overcome the problems described, where in its
implementation with one SSID client it is enough to log in once even if you move
from place to place
In developing the system, the author will use the Network Development Life
Cycle (NDLC) method for network development at PT. Aerospace Genesis. The
method consists of analysis, design, simulation prototype, implementation,
monitoring and management. QoS (Quality of Service) performance testing is
carried out with four test parameters, namely packet loss, delay, jitter and
throughput by following the Telecommunications and Internet Protocol
Harmonization Over Networks (TIPHON) testing standards.
From the QoS test results it is known that the performance of the WMN
design is still in accordance with TIPHON standards. In scenario 3 1.5% packet
loss, 20.42 ms jitter but for delay performance the WMN design still exceeds the
TIPHON standard with a delay of 1178 ms.
