Abstract
ABSTRACT
The development of Internet of Things (IoT) technology has had a
significant impact in several fields, including parking management. The purpose of
this research is to design and implement an IoT-based parking system at Mall
Basura, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. The purpose of the proposed system is to increase
the efficiency and convenience of the parking process for shopping center visitors.
This research begins with demand analysis and thoroughly examines traffic
conditions and parking arrangements at Basura Mall. Based on the analysis, a
suitable system architecture is recommended, including the necessary hardware
and software to implement the IoT solution. Implementation of this system involves
using IoT sensors installed in each parking lot to detect empty spaces. Data from
these sensors is then sent through the IoT network to be analyzed and processed on
the server. Users can access parking information through a smartphone application
that is integrated into the system.
