Abstract

ABCTRACT

Network Attack Storage (NAS) is a storage device that is connected directly to the LAN via a standard Ethernet port using the TCP/IP protocol. Currently, the need for NAS is an obligation for companies. Company data will be placed centrally in one network storage which can be accessed by all users who need it, of course also equipped with a complete access policy. The advantages of using a NAS are ease of data backup and ease of administration and policy. NAS runs on ethernet transmission media on a LAN network so that it allows high overhead because it uses file-level data transmission so that data storage technology is needed that can run at block level so that data transfer is fast at the PT Delta Indonesia laboratory network point located in Prima Orchard Trade Mall, Jl. Prima Harapan Regency No.2, RT.001/RW.012, Harapan Baru, Kec. North Bekasi, Bks City, West Java 17123. No exception requires a centralized data storage mechanism which can be used as data backup or file sharing. From the 3 experiments carried out, the average process of sending data from client to server using a file-level mechanism with an average AVG Bytes/s is 5,120 Bytes/s, the average delivery time is 15,586/s and the average number of packets received is 59,230.
