Human resource development is a process carried out to develop workers'
knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as competencies developed through training
and development, organizational learning, leadership management, and knowledge
management for the benefit of performance improvement. Meanwhile, the actual
meaning of performance comes from the words job performance, also called actual
performance. This study examines the effect of human resource development on
employee performance in government agencies. The results showed that human
resource development has a close relationship with performance, furthermore,
human resource development has a significant positive effect on performance. This
indicates that if the development of human resources is higher, the performance
will also increase.
