Abstract

The role of the leader in performance management is very important, because in an organization there are various kinds of employee backgrounds, so that the leader functions to determine, plan organizational goals. Leaders are also required to be able to assess performance so that the employee works according to the goals of the organization or agency. The village head can provide an example to village officials so that village officials can achieve maximum work results.
Based on the results of research on variable X, namely leadership, it is known that the answers of respondents who assess the 3 dimensions described in 6 indicators, the average respondent stated good as many as 5 indicators with an average value of 50.8% and those who stated not good were I indicator with a value of an average of 43.5%, then the results of research on variable Y, namely performance, it is known that the answers of respondents who assess the 2 dimensions described in 5 indicators, on average, respondents say 4 indicators are good with an average value of 59.1% and those who stated not good as much as 1 indicator with a value of 72.9%.
With the significant influence obtained on leadership on performance, the leadership application must be paid more attention to by the leader, for example the applicable SOPs, and Job Descriptions because if the leader applies his leadership style to giving directions appropriately, and written rules that can be read are made. by all employees will be more helpful in solving problems and will be able to assist employees in carrying out and carrying out tasks better so that it has an impact on better service.
