Abstract

Human resources (HR) are a dominant factor in every institution, including education, which requires excellent HR to meet societal needs. Improving HR quality is generally done through school learning. School principals must be able to optimize all resources in the school to achieve the established vision and mission. In addition to the principal's leadership, teacher performance is also crucial in enhancing the quality of education. However, the number of competent early childhood education (PAUD) educators is still insufficient, and many principals and teachers have not undergone training. This issue needs to be addressed immediately due to the vital role of educators in Indonesia's education system. The purpose of this study is to determine the impact of school principals' leadership and teacher performance on the quality of education. This study uses a quantitative approach to measure the influence of school principals' leadership and teacher performance on the quality of education in PAUD in Sukmajaya District, Depok. The results of hypothesis testing and multiple linear regression show that the leadership role of school principals and teacher performance positively and significantly affect the quality of education in PAUD in Sukmajaya District. The coefficient of determination (Adj R2) value of 0,963 indicates that 96,3% of the variability in education quality is explained by the leadership of school principals and teacher performance, while the remaining 3,7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
