Abstract
Work motivation is an urge to do a job. Work motivation is closely related to performance. Based on this, this research aimed to knowing determine and analyze the effect of work motivation on employee performance UPT PKB Dinas Perhubungan Kota Sukabumi. The design in this research uses descriptive research methods and quantitative approaches. The total population in this study were all employees UPT PKB Dinas Perhubungan Kota Sukabumi, the sample used was 31 respondents obtained using the census technic. To test the analysis in this research used validity test instruments, reliability test instruments, descriptive analysis, then statistical analysis was carried out for relationship and influence analysis using correlation analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, simple linear regression. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be seen that work motivation has a positive effect on employee performance UPT PKB Dinas Perhubungan Kota Sukabumi. The magnitude of the contribution of the influence of work motivation on employee performance is 53,1%, while the remaining 46,9% is influenced by variables not examined outside of work motivation variables such as leadership style, discipline, work spirit, work experience, and so on.
