Abstract
The role of Human Resources is needed to adopt all the changes that occur. Human Resources in the company must always be developed continuously in order to improve the ability to suit the demands of the environment. One way to improve the capabilities and expertise of employees is through education, training and development. The role of Human Resources is needed to adopt all the changes that occur. Human Resources in the company must always be developed continuously in order to improve capabilities to suit the demands of the business environment. One way to improve the abilities and expertise of employees is through education and training. Employee development is felt to be increasingly important because of the demands of work and position as well as technological advances, evaluation of the success of training and HR development programs can be done in several ways, including evaluation of knowledge improvement and evaluation of implementation. Evaluation of increasing knowledge and abilities can be done by comparing the results of the pre test and posttest. In addition, evaluation of knowledge improvement can be done by way of presentations from training participants so that the level of knowledge of participants can be directly tested.
Based on the results of research on variable X, namely training and development, it is known that the answers of respondents who assess the 5 dimensions described in 10 indicators on average, respondents state 5 indicators are good with an average value of 47.21% and 1 indicator is not good with an average value of 34.5% then the results of research on variable Y, namely employee performance, it is known that the answers of respondents who assess the 5 dimensions described in 11 indicators on average respondents stated that 10 indicators were good with an average value of 46.7% and 1 indicator that states it is not good with a value of 40.5%.
The relationship between training programs and employee performance based on influence test data is 43.6%, meaning that there is a strong and positive relationship between the implementation of training and development programs on employee performance, so management should continue to maintain the quality of the training and development program for all employees in accordance with their respective divisions.
