Abstract

Work motivation refers to forces both within and outside the organization that generate enthusiasm and persistence to pursue certain actions. Employee motivation affects productivity, and part of a manager's job is to channel motivation toward achieving organizational goals. Performance is a result of work achieved by a person in carrying out completing the work assigned to him. This study aims to see how employee performance is seen from the influence of employee motivation. This study examines the effect of motivation on employee performance in a manufacturing company. The results showed that motivation has a close relationship with employee performance, furthermore motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance. This indicates that if the motivation is higher, the employee's performance will also increase.
