Abstract

Parents really need to monitor children's movements to avoid unwanted things. GPS
technology can be used to monitor via smartphone combined with virtual area
restrictions (geofence) to increase supervision when parents are not near their
children. This research designs a system that can send information on the location of
lost or lost toddlers via the Telegram application using the geofencing method and
find out or monitor the coordinates of the location of toddlers using geofencing. This
research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method. This method begins with problem identification, data collection/literature study, system design, system validation, system creation, testing, and data collection. Data taken from the test results include the base latitude point -6.418964 and the base longtitude point 106.828003 and the distance (meters) is 20 meters. If the object is still within a radius
of less than 20 meters then the system will only send the current location to the
parent's cellphone and the buzzer will not sounds, but if the object being monitored
is within a radius of 20 to more than 20 meters, the system will send a warning directly to the parent's phone via the Telegram application and the buzzer will sound. In collecting data at each location, only I test at one location point. GPS coordinate data (latitude and longitude) is sent in real-time to Telegram, allowing users to know
the toddler's current position.
