Abstract

Public street lighting is one of the infrastructures that consume a lot of electrical
energy, considering the dwindling sources of electrical energy, PJUTS is one way
to save electrical energy. This research explains how to design energy-efficient
street lights using solar energy resources based on micro controllers that are
connected to the internet. The research objective is to be able to design and create
a prototype monitoring and control system for street lighting based on micro and
internet controllers, to reduce the use of PLN electricity in street lighting because it
uses solar panels. The results of this study are expected to be applied in some
housing that requires public street lighting with the concept of energy saving where
the power that can be saved is up to 53.85%. Hope that the prototype of this tool
will become an energy-efficient street light lighting solution that can monitor power usage which can be controlled centrally by connecting to the internet.
