Abstract

The cutting machine which is currently a work aid that cannot be separated from various industrial and manufacturing activities. However, not a few of these cutting machines have problems with the driving motor caused by excessive heat in the driving motor. To overcome this problem, it is necessary to create a system where every cutting machine used will detect the temperature, and the system will automatically turn off when the cutting machine is finished.
The most possible system to overcome this is by making a control system using the MLX90614 IR temperature sensor and proximity type E18-D80NK as the on/off trigger of the cutting machine. The main controller uses Arduino nano atmega328. With the working system of this control, when proximity I detects the cutting edge of the grinder in the rear position of the material to be cut, the grinding machine will automatically turn on and the proximity sensor 2 which will detect the grinding blade when finished cutting the grinding machine will turn off. For the highest temperature set in the program is 70 degrees Celsius and the LCD Display screen will display any changes in temperature and RPM that occur, if the temperature detected by the temperature sensor reaches 70 degrees Celsius, the cutting machine will turn off automatically and can be reused if the temperature on the cutting machine is below 70 degrees Celsius.
