Abstract

This study aims to design and develop a mobile battery swapping station for KYMCO two-wheeled electric vehicles based on Hybrid energy and IoT. The system is designed to address the limitations of uneven charging infrastructure, particularly for users with high mobility. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). The hardware consists of solar panels, MPPT solar charge controller, Ionex batteries, current and voltage sensors, ESP32 microcontroller, ATS, GPS module, and LCD display. Test results show that the solar panel system is capable of generating a maximum power of 96.53 Watts with a charging efficiency of around 20-25%, while charging via PLN (electric grid) using an adapter successfully increased the battery from 64.7V to 69.5V in under 2 hours, In hybrid mode, charging was more stable due to the automatic combination of solar and PLN sources. The mobile panel test confirmed that the system functions even while in transit or deployed. The GPS module accurately displayed the station's location with ±30 meters of precision, and the IoT system successfully monitored real-time electrical data. The prototype functions properly and is considered a potential solution for flexible and eco-friendly electric vehicle charging
infrastructure.
