Abstract

Bricks are building raw materials that come from clay. currently a brick craftsman in kp. Cariu Kotabaru Karawang makes bricks through a drying process using the drying method in the sun. the drying process which is often hampered by weather factors includes cloudy and even rain. usually a brick craftsman in kp. Cariu, during the rainy season, does the drying under a hut or Liok is stacked on the ground so that it is not exposed to rain. And the drying time is quite long, which is for 1 week until the bricks are completely dry and ready to burn.
Currently, there are brick craftsmen in Talang Buluh Village, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency who use automatic drying to simplify the drying process. And previous research in the Jambi area has made drying ovens automatically but for light bricks/hebel and only for 2 bricks during the process
In overcoming these obstacles in this research, the design of an automatic blower oven brick dryer based on the Arduino Atmega 328 microcontroller is designed. Oven design that can be controlled automatically with time control to ensure proper drying of bricks and temperature control is used to adjust the size temperature used.
From the design of this automatic tool, 480 pcs of bricks can be dried in a day or 24 hours. with 24 processes, each process with a temperature of 50 suhuoc in 60 minutes.
