Abstract
Based on the 2024 SF6 gas assessment data, the Sealing End compartment at the 150 kV AGP GIS was found to have the highest moisture content, reaching 1276 ppmv, posing a high risk of insulation failure. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-analytical method, beginning with a literature review related to substations, SF6 gas, and CIGRE TB 234 standard. Direct observation was conducted to obtain primary and secondary data, including test results of moisture content, dew point, and temperature, as well as interviews and technical documentation. The analysis was carried out to evaluate the condition of SF6 gas based on moisture content and dew point in reference to standard and to identify the trend of moisture content and dew point values over time. The results showed that the gas condition did not meet the standards, with 1276 ppmv (standard <464 ppmv) and 7.2°C (standard <-5°C). After gas reclamation, the values decreased to 262 ppmv and -11°C. A predictive model was developed using simple linear regression and validated through p-value and R2, which indicated statistical validity. The prediction results show a linear increase in moisture content and dew point over time, indicating a decline in SF6 gas quality if regular reclamation and humidity control are not performed.
