Abstract

Soil is a natural resource that is very important for plant growth. Good soil conditions are needed so that plants can grow well. There are two factors that influence soil conditions, namely soil moisture and soil pH (degree of acidity). Inappropriate soil moisture and pH can affect growth, and result in plants lacking certain nutrients. For chili plants, the ideal soil moisture is 60% - 70%, and the ideal soil pH is 6.0-6.5 and the ideal temperature is 24 - 28°C. Greenhouses can provide an ideal environment for plants and real-time monitoring. Researchers focus more on designing simple structures using LoRa (Long Range) technology. The variables studied were knowing the sensitivity of the soil pH sensor, DHT11 sensor, and Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor. Tests on the soil moisture sensor obtained a value error of 4.1%, a soil pH error value of 1.59%, and for temperature 1.6%. The automatic watering system functions well, when the soil moisture value is 58% the water pump will be active. And when the temperature is 29°C, the fan will be active.
