Abstract

Rapid developments have resulted in new technologies that can be developed to facilitate human activities, from economics, transportation, industry and telecommunications. Wireless technology is one of the technologies that is
developing in the field of telecommunications, where communication between two
people no longer uses cables as a transmission medium. Not only the electronic
system, the quality of communication in the IoT system also plays an important
role. One of the parameters for measuring the quality of a telecommunications network is the Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI). The quality of the signal received by the receiving device can be influenced by several factors, one of which is the distance between the transmitter and receiver in the surrounding environment. The results of indoor signal quality testing obtained fairly good results with a distance of 1 meter, namely -57.15 dBm. And outdoors, the results
were fairly good at a distance of 10 meters with a result of -68.24 dBm.
