Abstract

Health is an irreplaceable asset for humans, and they will do anything to maintain it. Heart rate and body temperature are basic and important parameters used by emergency personnel to assess a patient's physical condition. Heart disease caused by an unhealthy lifestyle is the most common cause of heart disease. The number of deaths from heart disease in Indonesia is expected to increase to 650,000 per year by 2023, according to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Health. People are increasingly busy, looking for health monitoring solutions that they can do themselves without having to go to the doctor. The problem raised in this final project is how someone can monitor their heart rate and body temperature in real time anytime and anywhere using a pulse sensor and the Mlx90614 sensor. The measurement results of the pulse sensor and Mlx90614 sensor are controlled by a microcontroller, and the data is displayed on the LCD and sent to the thinger io platform to be integrated into the Internet of Things (IoT). This research uses quantitative research methods. This type of research is used to examine the comparison of tools that have been made with conventional tools such as oximeters and thermoguns. Based on the research carried out, the heart rate and body temperature detection monitoring system has been successfully designed and can carry out its functions well. The results of testing on five different people showed that the accuracy of the body temperature detection tool was 3,26%. And heart rate detection with an average value of 12,59%. As well as Quality of Service (QoS) testing based on the results that have been tested when sending and receiving data from Firebase showing good connectivity in terms of throughput, packet loss, delay and jitter. With an average throughput value of 112.20 bit/s, packet loss (100) 0%, delay 3.84 ms, and jitter 3.97 ms.
