Abstract

Human resources are the most important asset in an organization, and an important factor in employee performance that plays an important role in optimizing their contribution. Companies need training programs to improve workforce skills and knowledge. Competent employees, who are equipped with effective On the Job Training (OJT) and a deep understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), tend to be better prepared to carry them out. The central problem identified was the neglect of new employees who occasionally underwent Prima Freshmart training by field trainers. Apart from training, another factor that influences performance is the implementation of SOPs. However, challenges arise when some employees do not implement SOPs, causing discrepancies in the implementation of audits, especially in administrative matters. In this case, the Company's target was not achieved and the Company assessed that employee performance had decreased. This research aims to measure the significant influence of training and implementation of SOPs on the performance of Prima Freshmart employees. Validity and reliability tests, normality analysis, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, t test F test and multiple linear regression confirm the illusions and assumptions of statistical data. Hypothesis testing and multiple linear regression results show that employee training and implementation of SOPs have a positive and significant effect on improving the performance of Prima Freshmart employees. These findings provide a significant contribution to the practical and theoretical understanding of the relationship between training, SOP implementation, and employee performance in the context of the retail industry.
