Abstract

Work motivation is important because it is something that can cause, channel and support human behavior so that they are willing to work hard and enthusiastically to achieve maximum work results. Therefore, a leader should be a mirror for employees to be motivated towards organizational progress, so that work motivation can provide energy that mobilizes all existing potentials, creates high and noble desires and increases the togetherness of each party in working according to predetermined rules., because the success of employee performance is very dependent on the motivation and policies given by the leadership, motivation is an important thing in a modern era where organizations want democracy in the implementation of work and good work motivation, the consequences that may arise from poor motivation are decrease in employee performance which will have an impact on decreasing the total performance of an organization.
Based on the results of research on work motivation, it is known that the answers of respondents who assessed the 2 dimensions described in 6 indicators mean that the respondents said 4 indicators were good with an average value of 47.40% and 2 indicators stated that they were not good with an average value. Average 43.60 and the results of research on employee performance, it is known that the answers of respondents who assessed the 3 dimensions described in 6 indicators mean that the respondents said 5 indicators were good with an average value of 40.22% and 1 indicator was not good with an average value of 43%.
Because the results of the research prove that work motivation has an influence on employee performance, giving recognition with other forms of appreciation can be given in the form of providing opportunities for self-development through formal and informal education so that employees continue to develop which in the end is expected to improve employee work performance and will be an added value. for the employees concerned as well as for the institution.
