Work motivation is very important for an institution, moreover the work motivation given by the superior to the members/subordinates will have a very significant impact on the institution / organization in achieving the stated goals. Work motivation is "a factor that encourages a person to do a certain activity. Work motivation is often interpreted as a factor driving one's behavior. This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation on the performance of the apparatus of Cikaret Village, Kebonpedes District, Sukabumiy. The sampling technique used in this study was the Probability Sampling technique with the Slovin formula, so that the number of samples in this study amounted to 69 people with a population of 228 people. The data used are primary data, namely in the form of a questionnaire. The instrument test carried out in this study was a validity test and a reliability test involving 69 officials from Cikaret Village, Kebonpedes District, Ukabumi Regency, and the data analysis test used in testing the hypothesis in this study used correlation analysis, coefficient of determination and regression analysis. The correlation value of the effect of work motivation (X) on performance (Y) is 0.787, this correlation value is between 0.60-0.799 which means that it has a strong relationship, the result of the coefficient of determination or R is 61.93%, which means that the magnitude of the influence of work motivation on performance is equal to 61, 93% and the remaining 38 03% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study, and the regression analysis value Y 14,602 + 0.742X which means that if the work motivation increases by I point, the performance increases by 0.742 assuming the constant
