Abstract

Leadership is an organizational locomotive which is always interesting to talk about. This attraction is based on a historical background that shows the importance of the existence of a leader in every group activity and the fact that leadership is central in the pattern of interaction between organizational components. More than that, leadership and the role of a leader determine the birth, growth, and maturity and death of a nation, a leader is an inspiration for change and a visionary, that is, having a clear vision of the direction in which the organization will be taken.
Thus visonary leadership is actually present in every social system, starting from the smallest social system, namely the family, groups, organizations, institutions, to the community. To answer why leadership always appears in every social system, we can analyze the nature of leadership and the nature of the social system. The essence of leadership is an ability, process, action or function that is generally used to influence other people to do something in order to achieve certain goals. It can also be a practiced application of power so that it binds others based on their ability to persuade, explain, and conclude that something must be done.
However, in practice there are still many problems related to employee performance that is not effective and not in accordance with what is expected. In terms of work implementation, there are still many employees who are not able to use their time effectively so that it is not uncommon for work not to be completed on time. In addition, there are still employees who use their working time to do other work that is not supposed to be done during working hours
