Abstract
The design in this study uses a survey method with a descriptive approach and associative method. The population in this study were all employees at PT. Longvin Indonesia Sukabumi, West Java for the finishing departement as many as 43 employees. The sample in this study was the total population of 43 respondents using the non-probability sampling method, namely the census technique. Sources of data used are primary data by providing and distributing questionnaires to respondents who were sampled in this study. To test the instrument analysis of the quality of the research data, validity and reliability tests were used, then to test the relationship and influence analysis used correlation, linear linear regression analysis, and coefficient of determination analysis.
Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be seen that the ability to influence employee performance. The results showed that the level of closeness of ability with employee performance was 0.599, which means that the relationship between the two variables was at the level of a fairly strong and unidirectional relationship. The results of the calculation and analysis of the coefficient of determination (r2) show that the ability has a positive effect on the performance of employees in the Finishing Departement at PT. Longvin Indonesia Sukabumi, West Java, so that the research hypothesis proposed in this study is proven that ability affects employee performance. The magnitude of the contribution of the influence of ability on employee performance is 35,9%, while the remaining 64,1% is influenced by variables not examined outside of ability variables such as education level, work experience, compensation, motivation, work environment and so on.
