Abstract
The importance of the benefits of electrical energy for the Indonesian people for daily life cannot be fully supplied by PLN. PLN can only supply 66% while household use is increasing, so many households in the village are not yet able to enjoy electrical energy. So it is necessary to develop alternative energy as an additional household electrical energy supply. One alternative energy can be generated from mechanical work. Static and electro-mechanical bicycles are tools that can be used to generate electrical energy. Each static bicycle swing and mechanical electro is capable of producing a kinetic energy that can be converted into electrical energy, namely by connecting a static bicycle using an existing pulley and belt to the alternator to generate DC volts.
This study aims to design an electro-magnetic dynamo energy source to produce electrical energy by pedaling, a bicycle as a driving force to determine the amount of current and voltage generated in the energy source. The converter is used for charging the battery/Accu then used for the load.
The analysis of the electrical energy generation system on the electro magnetic dynamo aims to determine the input voltage according to the simulation, which is 5 V and is converted using a boost converter to obtain the optimal voltage output parameters according to the PID method with a setpoint of 14.4V so that the battery charging time is fast and stable.
