Abstract

In an increasingly advanced era, Internet of Things (IoT) technology has become a significant innovation in various fields. One of the IoT technologies that is developing rapidly is the Long Range Wide Area Network (LoRaWAN). LoRaWAN is capable of
long-distance communication with low power consumption. In this study, we analyze
the coverage of the LoRaWAN network in transmitting data with Cikumpa river water
objects, with a distance of 100-600 meters between tx and rx. This research focuses on coverage of RSSI network quality, LoRaWAN SNR and LoRaWAN network QoS quality with throughput, delay, jitter and packet loss parameters. Based on testing, LoRaWAN network coverage reaches a maximum distance of 600 meters, testing was carried out in the Cikumpa river area. Then the results of the RSSI and SNR values, tests carried out in the morning, afternoon and evening. The results of the RSSI test and RSSI calculations as the distance increases, the RSSI value decreases. RSSI testing in the
morning ranged from -99 dBm to -121 dBm, with SNR ranging from -3.25 dB to 8.75 dB. Daytime RSSI test results range from -104 dBm to -124 dBm, with SNR ranging from -8.50 dB to 9.00 dB. And the RSSI test results in the afternoon ranged from -96
dBm to -120 dBm and SNR ranged from -7.25 dB to 9.00 dB. Meanwhile, the quality of QoS when viewed from the RSSI and SNR results for each test can be said to be stable. During testing from a distance of 100-600 meters, there was no packet loss when data transmission occurred. The results of this research can utilize LoRaWAN technology to
monitor a desired object remotely.
