Abstract
Technological development and population growth are driving the increasing demand for electrical energy in human life. One alternative energy source is solar energy, where solar panels are devices capable of converting solar energy into electrical energy. Research was conducted from January 23-25, 2025, comparing the performance of monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels using flat mirrors as reflectors with varying tilt angles. The methods used in this research were literature study and experimental research. Three days of testing results showed that adding reflectors increased power output in monocrystalline solar panels with varying tilt angles, producing an average highest power of 394.74W, while polycrystalline solar panels with varying tilt angles produced an average highest power of 355.99W, with a power increase percentage of 10.88% for the more optimal monocrystalline type solar panels. Additionally, the addition of reflectors with the most optimal tilt angle of 75° produced the highest power output of 1073.4W for monocrystalline solar panels and 977.42W for polycrystalline solar panels. The increase in power percentage for monocrystalline solar panels was 9.82%.
