Abstract

BSF (black Soldier fly) larvae are larvae produced by the Hermetiaillucens
insect or black soldier fly and have recently been developed for use as food for fish,
poultry and livestock. BSF larvae are also called maggots. BSF larvae are rich in protein and can be used as an alternative feed to replace fish meal, soybean meal, and meat and bone meal. Therefore, we developed a maggot cultivation system that can monitor and control using IoT. This research includes monitoring and controlling temperature and humidity in maggot cages and cultivation media. The main components used are ESP32, DHT22 microcontrollers, soil moisture, relays, incandescent lamps, LEDs, DC fans, ultrasonic fog generators, and telegraphs. The advantage of this system is that you can create a system to monitor and control the temperature and humidity of the maggots. Make it easier for communities to build resilience through monitoring and control. This can increase the efficiency of maggot breeders' time for pets in maintaining and controlling the temperature and humidity of maggots. Overcoming the problem of organic waste and enabling production at high selling prices. Therefore, this research will help maggot farmers to work more efficiently and easily maintain and control temperature and humidity.
