Abstract

Currently, environmental problems are always related to transportation technology problems, especially vehicle technology that still uses fossil fuels. Which causes an increase in greenhouse gas concentrations due to human activities themselves. The transportation sector plays a major role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions. One implementation of CO2 reduction in the
transportation sector is the use of electric vehicles. Currently, electric vehicles are starting to develop and are supported by increasingly better battery technology such as being small in size and able to store large amounts of energy. One type of simple electric vehicle is an electric bicycle. then a study was made on
"Implementation of AC and DC Electric Vehicle Battery Charging with Hybrid Energy Sources" In this study using a hybrid control system, the way the hybrid control works is by using two sources of electrical energy, namely the energy
source from solar panels as the main source and the PLN energy source as a
backup energy source. The results of the hybrid test using a 72v20ah battery, the
voltage from the input battery was 12.54v (80%) with the relay 1 and relay 2
positions on, charging the electric motor battery using the energy source from the
battery until the battery condition dropped to 11.91v (40%) for 50 minutes of
charging. When the input battery voltage has reached 40%, automatic charging
switches to using PLN energy sources. The PLN energy source is active and
outputs a voltage of 227.7v with relay 3 and relay 4 on, charging the electric
motor battery using PLN energy sources until the battery is full to 71.3 (100%) for
90 minutes of charging.
