Abstract

Infusion is a medical device that is often used to deliver fluids and nutrients into the body. Remote monitoring of infusion status will greatly help paramedics to ensure the smooth flow of infusion fluids and is very helpful for patients. This research aims to design and build a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based infusion fluid remote monitoring system. The monitoring system is designed using HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors placed on top of the infusion tube to detect the height of the liquid surface in real-time. The sensor data is sent to the blynk application via esp8266 wifi network and after that the server displays the height data on the application dashboard.
