Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the primary needs needed by humans in
social life. Along with the advancement of science and technology and rapid
population growth, the electrical energy needed every day is increasing, while the
availability of resources or fossil fuels is running low. Currently, Indonesia's
energy has begun to receive serious attention so that the Government targets in
2050 the role of New Energy and Renewable Energy is at least 31%. This
encourages to produce various alternative energy sources that are environmentally friendly and available all the time. The purpose of this research is to design and make an Asynchronous buck converter design using MPPT with a
fuzzy logic controller method that will be applied to Solar Panels with a capacity of 300WP, this research is carried out to increase the output power of solar
panels. Physical implementation is done by designing and testing Asynchronous
buck converters in the laboratory. Field testing was conducted at the JGU Student
Association secretariat building to verify the system performance under real
operational conditions. The test results showed that the proposed system
successfully increased the output power efficiency from 90.41% without the method to 96.70% by using the fuzzy method. Thus, the implementation of
Asynchronous buck converter controlled by FLC can be an effective solution for electrical power distribution systems in buildings with dynamic power
requirements. And in the future, it can be done with a different type of converter
as a research development and a more effective increase in output power.
