Abstract

Diarrhea is a condition in which sufferers frequently defecate with feceswhich is runny or runny. Diarrhea generally occurs as a result of consuming food and drinks
contaminated with viruses, bacteria or parasites. One of the treatments for diarrhea is by administeringantibacterial. Manila sapodilla leaves are widely used as an antidiarrheal which can inhibitbacteria such as E. coli bacteria. Problems that will arise in administering dispersible tablets as an antidiarrheal is the physical properties and route of drug administration. Based on the results of researchDispersible tablets of manila sapodilla leaf extract as antidiarrhea.In addition, most elderly patients have difficulty swallowing the preparationconventional tablets/capsules, so Orally Disintegrating Tablets (ODT) preparations can beused to overcome this problem. The dispersible tablet formulation is the use of a superdisintegrant. Superdisintegrant isa substance that is more effective at lower concentrations with more disintegration abilityGood. The combination of superdisin tegrants with different mechanisms is thought to increase ODT disintegration time in manila sapodilla leaf extract so that a study was carried out withusing Avicel PH 102 and Crosscarmelullose sodium. This research aims to knowing the effect of the combination of Avicel PH 102, and Crosscarmelullose and the combination both responses in the form of hardness, brittleness, disintegration time, ODT of leaf extract Sawo Manila knows the composition of Avicel PH 102 and crosscarmelullose in the formula optimum.Optimization was carried out using 3 kinds of formulas with avicel pH ratios102 and crosscarmellose sodium in 3 different concentration ratios (32.29%:1%; 31.29%:2%; and 30.29:3%). with tests of disintegration time, brittleness, thickness, hardness.
Evaluations were carried out on the solid dispersions, powder mixtures and tablets produced.
