Abstract
A go-kart is a variant of a small, simple open-top four-wheeled vehicle for motor sports. One of the things that affect the speed of a go-kart is the shape of the body itself. The body shape of the kart vehicle is closely related to the aerodynamic load. Kinds of aerodynamic loads are grouped into 3 drag force, lift force, and side force. As technology continues to develop, many researchers and engineers in the automotive industry are trying to reduce the drag coefficient (Cd) to a minimon, so that the minimum fuel consumption is obtained. The purpose of this research is to get the smallest possible coefficient of drag between the two designs. In this study. aerodynamic analysis was carried out on the surface of the go-kart body using Ansys software. Get value results Cd on the first go-kart design is 0,23900556 on speed 20 km/h and the second design is 0.23900556 at the same speed. The first design being the most aerodynamically proven design due to value Cd the smallest compared to the first design.
