Abstract
Insulation or connection failures in cables can be detected by carrying out
predictive maintenance, namely by using the Thermography method. In this
research, the object used is the main distribution panel. The research begins with
observing data and studying several related literature, then taking actual pictures
and thermography images according to the SOP (Standard Operational
Procedure).
Infrared images were taken using a Fluke TiS55+ infrared camera. After taking the images, an analysis of the thermography images obtained was carried out based on NETA (international electrical testing association) standards.
The results of the research detected hidden damage, there was electrical equipment connecting the Air Circuit Breaker cable which experienced an increase in temperature from normal temperature. so that corrective action can be taken immediately to prevent more severe damage which will cost a lot of money. Repairs carried out include replacing cable sconces and tightening cable
connections Air Circuit Breaker.
