Abstract

One of the activities carried out to maintain cleanliness and quality at PT Kalbe Farma is to monitor the temperature and humidity of the production room. The operator records the monitoring data on a monitoring log paper. The process of recording monitoring results data still uses paper as a data storage medium. This research aims to make a tool that can facilitate monitoring of temperature and humidity using an IoT (Internet Of Things) system, with Arduino UNO as a microcontroller, DHT22 sensors to measure temperature and humidity, NodeMCU ESP8266 as a link to the internet and send data to Google spreadsheets. This research was carried out using a quantitative approach by taking samples based on measuring the temperature and humidity values of the production room within a certain period of time to determine the deviation of the sensor readings and the reliability of the research tool. The average proportion of the 1st sensor error is 0.5% for temperature and 5.0% for humidity. The average proportion of the 2nd sensor error is 4.9% for temperature and 2.7% for humidity. The average proportion of the 3rd sensor error is 2.8% for temperature and 2.7% for humidity. With the Cronbach's Alpha method, this research tool is reliable with an alpha value of 0.709 > 0.700 for the humidity variable and an alpha value of 0.789 > 0.700 for the temperature variable. With this research tool, operators do not need to manually monitor the temperature and humidity of the production room.
