Abstract

Screw Turbine is one type of Hydroelectric Power Plant by using a screw or screw. Turbines that use mechanical energy into electrical energy. Usually this Screw Turbine can be used in mountainous areas, rivers, waterways. This screw turbine is very useful for the community and can save costs for paying electricity. This water turbine is used to convert water into rotary energy, the performance of this water turbine is influenced by several objects, the tilt angle of the turbine, the number of blades on the turbine, and the turbine frame. This study only focuses on the electrical energy generated by using a screw turbine. The method used in this research is the method of literature study and experimental research. The conclusion from the screw turbine test results, the change in the number of blades varies with 7, 8, and 10 blades. The maximum screw turbine work is at 8 blade variations when the average is 8.32 watts and when using 10 blades is 6.21 watts, so it can be seen that the power generated when using the 8 blade has a generator output power value that is greater than when using a 7 or 10 blade. Due to this variation the 8 blade can work well.
