ABSTRACT
This research aims to design an efficient and reliable computer network
using Cisco Packet Tracer simulation software. The research method used was
qualitative by conducting an interview with one of the staff from the Jade Parking
Company, and make observations of employment opportunities within the Jade
Parking Company. Cisco Packet Tracer is used as the main tool in designing,
simulating the performance of the network to be created. An interview was
conducted with one of the IT staff at the Jade company to obtain information
regarding problems often experienced at the previous branch. Observations were
carried out to analyse field needs and field conditions in the Jade company work
environment. The results of this research provide insight into the network design
required by the Jade company. The advantages and disadvantages of the proposed
design using Cisco Packet Tracer as a simulation. The findings of this research
can be a guide for the Jade company in creating a computer network at its newest
branch.
