Abstract
Transportation in the automotive sector is something that is needed by many
people. Exhaust gas emissions such as emissions, carbon monoxide (CO), and carbon dioxide (CO2). These additives generally include two types, namely synthetic additives (artificial additives). example: nitrate compounds, peroxides and additives derived from natural plants that are environmentally friendly and renewable derived from plants grown as essential oils, and smoke particles are very harmful to humans and the environment. Realizing this, a lot of research and development has been carried out to reduce exhaust emissions and make energy
efficient used by motor fuels, one of which is mixing gasoline with patchouli oil and ethanol. In this case, of course, will give the results of the performance of the
machine. This research was conducted to determine the effect of mixing Pertamax
fuel with patchouli oil and ethanol on exhaust gas emissions and fuel consumption on these motorcycles. With variations of patchouli oil mixtures of 5%, 10% and 15%, and ethanol mixtures with 30%, 25%, 20%, and 15%. In variations of engine speed 1500 Rpm, 2000 Rpm, 2500 Rpm, 3000 Rpm and 3500 Rpm. The results showed that the larger the mixture of patchouli oil and ethanol, the more varied the results of exhaust gas emissions, and the higher the efficiency level for fuel
consumption, with the result that the mixture contains too high oxygen.
