Manila sapodilla seed oil (Manilkara zapota L.) is known to contain fatty acids such as oleic, stearic, palmic and linoleic which can care for hair for those who have curly hair and experience hair loss problems. The emulsion is made by mixing sapodilla seed oil extract with an emulsion base consisting of HPMC, propylene glycol, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, tween 80, span 80, liquid paraffin, and distilled water. Comparison of sapodilla seed oil extract concentrations of 1%, 3%, and 5% (w/w). Evaluation of emulsions consisting of organoleptics, emulsion type, homogenety, spreadability, pH, viscosity and stability. In vivo hair growth activity test on male rabbits for 21 days. The results of the hair growth activity test showed that rabbits treated with sapodilla seed oil extract emulsion with a concentration of 5% (w/w) showed significant results in stimulating hair growth in male rabbits. The conclusion obtained is that this emulsion has the potential to grow hair.
